THE DUO BEHIND SOUL SEASONS

Cynthia Beach is an English professor and writer. Her articles, short stories and contributions appear in newspapers, literary journals and books like Hope in the Mourning Bible (Zondervan, 2013) and Horse of My Heart (Revell, 2015). She cofounded the two-day Breathe Christian Writers Conference and is marketing her novel, The Surface of Water and publishing Creative Juices: A Splash of Story Craft, Process & Creative Soul Care (2019).

Dave Beach is a 60-something therapist/writer, author of the award-winning Following the Man of Sorrows: A Theology of Suffering for Spiritual Formation, co-author of The Essential Bible Companion to the Psalms, The 7 Pillars of SheWillStay, and contributing writer to Hope in the Mourning Bible. He currently serves as the Mental Health Director at the Johnson-Brower Foundation providing trauma counseling for combat veterans and first-responders. Dave wrote curriculum and taught college-level courses like psychopathology, research and statistics, and spiritual formation. His perennial interests are the intersections of theology, psychology, sociology, and what it means to be human.
